Project Overview

Apex Financial needed a modern, developer-friendly payment platform capable of scaling with their explosive transaction growth while satisfying rigid global security compliance. We designed a clean RESTful API and underlying message broker system to orchestrate millions of secure payments daily.

The Challenge

The client's legacy infrastructure suffered from high processing latency (over 1.2 seconds per request), occasional transaction drops during peak flash sales, and an outdated monolithic codebase that made integration difficult for merchant developers.

Our Solution

We rebuilt the core engine in TypeScript & Node.js using an event-driven microservices pattern. We integrated Redis cluster caching for instant state validation, Apache Kafka for resilient queueing, and deployed a multi-region PostgreSQL cluster on AWS with automated failover.
